I am an Integrative psychotherapist (MBACP) based in South West London. I have a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling. I work both in private practice (online sessions via zoom) and for the NHS.
I have broad range of experience including working with relationship issues, attachment, anxiety and depression. I have a background of working in the fitness industry for over 9 years and have experience of working with issues related to body-image, eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder BED) and disordered eating. I follow HAES (Health at every size) principles and I am firmly against diet-culture and weight stigma.
I would describe my practice as combining warmth with appropriate challenge. At times, I may do more than sit back and nod; I am not a blank slate or a traditional therapist. I believe in a therapeutic relationship that is genuine and in open and honest conversations.
Integrative psychotherapy involves drawing on more than one therapeutic modality to best suit your individual needs. In my practice, I draw upon contemporary psychodynamic and humanistic (person-centered) traditions. This means that while we may explore your past experiences and how they have shaped your present, we will do this in a warm and trusting and environment (not you lying down on a couch or staring at a blank slate). Above all I favour the co-created relationship between client and therapist and its potential to inspire change.
Work with me
I offer a 10 minute pre-consultation assessment call to give you the opportunity to ask any questions and to find out whether we might be the right fit.
Our initial meeting will be an 90 minute consultation assessment. This meeting will allow me the opportunity to ask questions, to find out about you, your history and background, to identify your reasons for seeking therapy and for us to agree on your therapeutic goals.
Regular sessions are 50 minutes each and are usually once a week. I offer both short-term (12-16 weeks) and open-ended therapy.
